The First ever hot eating contest will be conducting here in the Philippine powered by 7 eleven.
If you have the guts and one of your Favorite food is HOT DOG and you think can finish as fast you can you can join to this contest.

The Big Bite® Match, a hotdog-eating contest, is open to all males and females who are 18 years old and above.

To join, a customer must purchase a Big Bite® Match Combo (5 Jumbo Big Bite® Hotdog sandwiches of any variant with a Big Gulp® - 946ml) for only P150. The hotdog sandwiches in this combo will be consumed for the qualifying round in the store.

Customer must show one (1) valid ID to the 7-Eleven store crew. Only the following types of ID will be accepted: School ID, Company ID, Driver’s License, SSS ID, GSIS ID, NBI Clearance, Postal ID, Voters ID, Passport)

Customer then fills out an Application Form available at the 7-Eleven counter, signs a Health Release and Waiver and attaches an official receipt with a Big Bite® Match Combo purchase, to make the application to the contest valid. The date on the Official Receipt and the Application Form should be the same.

Customer invites a person to stand as a witness to the challenge. The chosen witness should also present a valid ID and fill up required information in the Application Form.

A customer can join as many times as he or she wants and should fill out and complete all requirements on the application form for every trial.

Qualifying Rounds will be held in all 7-Eleven stores, every Friday and Saturday from June 26 to August 15, 2009. Schedule is as follows:

* June 26 and 27
* July 3 and 4
* July 10 and 11
* July 17 and 18
* July 24 and 25
* July 31 and August 1
* August 7 and 8
* August 14 and 15

Fridays: 12nn to 7pm

Saturdays: 10am to 5pm

Who is Goldilocks?

Goldilocks is my best friend. When we have parties and gatherings, never did she miss to be there for me. I really have lots of happy moments with her — my birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, weddings, debuts, and even during ordinary days, she really makes me smile.

I remember one time when my mother starved while we are in a certain mall. In her appeal to have at least a moment of break, she uttered “Tara kain tayo mga anak dun sa Goldilocks, masarap yung Dinugoan nila dun malilimutan nyo pangalan nyo.”

We just laughed at what our mother told us. Instead, I teased her and said, “Mom? Make sure that we will really forget our names the moment we taste their Dinugoan, if not we would need to transfer to another food shop.”

I dare my Mom for what she had told us and in full confidence she replied with a beautiful smile saying “Hah! baka kainin mo yang sinabi mo? At sabihin mo sakin na Nay balik tayo dito.”
We went to Goldilocks food shop and we tasted what our Mom indorsed to us. And it is true that even the only reaction that I had is “Hmmmm… Ang sarap nga! Mom what was my name again?” My Mom laughed at me and said Ano anak lipat pa tayo?” She continued to laugh.

Every time we recall what happened that day, I cannot stop myself to laugh especially when she tells that I just smiled while I hurried unto my meal to have another order. I just realized a certain thing, “Kung anu-ano pa sinasabi mo kanina ano ka ngayon?” I laughed at myself again.

I asked Mom how did she find the taste of Goldilocks. Mom just replied “Like you my son I was just invited by my friends when we have our get together. The expression you have now is the same reaction I had before.”

I can feel her satisfaction with the taste of Goldilocks. I asked mom if we can we be at Goldilocks again. My mother just laughed saying “of course my son we can go back here. Are you happy with Goldilocks?” she asked. And I said “Yes! Mom very happy.”
Goldilocks is one of the successful pastry and bakeshops in the country. And certainly, it will be more successful for more years to come.

Ako Mismo Dogtag Imitation

Bago pa ganapin ang Ako Mismo Dog tag Day last June 12, 2009 meron nang mga nag kalat na imitation ng dog tag ng ako mismo sana po hindi natin tinatangkilik ito. Dahil ano pa ang pledge na ginawa natin kung ang pagtangkilik sa FAKE naman ang sinusoportahan natin. Sana po Hindi natin tangkilikin ito. Isipin na lang po natin ang maari nating matulungang Charity sa Pagbili ng ORIG!

THE DOG TAGS update

There have been thousands of inquiries about the Ako Mismo dog tag— when they will be available, where you can get them, how much they will be selling for. Thank you for your continued interest and patience as we work towards producing them in quantities to meet the demand. We expect to have dog tags within the next few weeks and we’re currently finalizing negotiations with distribution partners that have nationwide reach. By July, they should be available in about 700 Mail and More centers nationwide. Watch out for further announcements on where else dog tags will be available.

But if you’re one of those who can’t wait that long, make sure you don’t miss the AKO MISMO DOG TAG DAY on June 12 at the Bonifacio Global City open field. Aside from making the dog tags available to the public for the first time, this event will culminate in a concert featuring some of the hottest bands today. All you have to do is buy a dog tag at the entrance of the concert venue, and it will already serve as your ID and ticket to all the activities and concert from afternoon to night.

You will be happy to know that just by purchasing the dog tag, you would have already contributed to the greater good. Proceeds from the sale of the dog tags will go towards reputable and established charitable and socio-civic organizations who have the capability to reach and help even more people all over the country. At least ten of our beneficiary charitable organizations will be present during the concert so everyone can learn more about them and what people can do to help their charity of choice.

We will have fun activities starting at 2pm, and from 5-7pm, school bands as well as professional bands will perform for everyone. This will culminate in the grand concert from 7-9pm where we have the hottest bands in the country performing: Pupil, Bamboo, The Dawn, Kamikaze, Kjwan and Up DharmaDown.

By July, dog tags will be made available in our partner distribution outlets nationwide for P40. Again, proceeds will go towards socio-civic and charity works that AKO MISMO is supporting. We will publish the amounts raised for each of our charities on this website.

Frustration in Blogging

Hirap naman mag maintain ng blog kainis. Hndi ko kasi alam kung san mag sisimula magpapaganda ba ng templates or themes ng blog o kung ano e? madalas hindi ako maisulat ang gustong kong isulat ng dadalawang isip kung isususlat ko ba o hindi. Ganito ba pag nag sisimula ka? ang dami mo gustong gawin pero hindi mo magawa kasi ang dami pumasok na ediya sa isip mo pero ang iba hindi ko mailagay sa gawa. Sa pag susulat nga nga lang dito sa Blog e. Ang dami ko gusto isulat pero hindi ko alam kung paano ito isusulat ng matino kaya nasan ngayon yon? nandito parin sa utak nag aantay ng tamang oras kung paano sisimulan ang lahat. Marami ako gusto matutunan about sa blogging pero hindi ko parin mahanap yung mga bagay na dapat na malaman ko. kahit blogging 101 wala parin e kulang ang datail. Hirap din kasi pag hindi ka writer e hindi mo alam kung paano mag sulat paano mo aakitin ang readers mo amg basa sa blog mo. Paano nakakapag sulat ang mga hindi writer ng magandang blog? dahil ba passion nila ito? paano naman yung iba pero pinipilit nila kaya ba namin tuamgal? this is only a start wala naman siguro nagsimula na madali kaagad ang pnag daanan nila sa sa blogging pasasaan ay malalaman ko rin laht ng dapat ko man. we only a big Patience to get the gold at the end. Kailan nga lang natin tandaan "Patience is a Virtue".
